Welcome to Our Website

Our intention for this site is to dedicate this page to honor, seriously and in a fun and playful way, the rewards of being Owned by a ferret and also fostering them.

We strongly advise before making any fast decisions on purchasing, adopting, or fostering a ferret, or any animal for that matter, you educate yourself on the them thoroughly before doing so.

We have found from owning and fostering, and reading many stories online, with alot of people pets seem to be a haste decision, as fullfilling a request from a child, others suddenly surprising your family with a furry friend, and those that simply get one because "they're cute" without realizing the time and care that is needed in order to provide a pet, a life they so richly deserve.

In that, We don't merely speak of just ferrets, We speak of all furry friends out there. They deserve a good life, just as us humans do, and it is very sad knowing just how clueless some people can be.

The ignorance is alarming, so we hope you take the time by going through our whole site, not only will you learn the rewards, but your eyes will also be opened to the horrors that some of these god given critters have had to endure in their short, but very cherished lives.

We hope you take the time to follow us all through our journey together, as well as knowledeging yourself, with all the information on helping you decide whether a ferret is for you and your lifestyle, or simply satiating your curiousity on these beautiful furrie treasures.

Please feel contact us through the link provided up top : with any questions, opinions and / or feedback.

Thank you, and Enjoy.

"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched. They must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller -

A way you can help is to always adopt or foster and never purchase animals!

By purchasing a 'purebred' animal, you are encouraging breeders to continue adding to the overpopulation problem.

They will continue to breed as long as they are earning a profit.

If you adopt or foster an animal from a shelter, you are saving its life.

If you purchase an animal, the shelter animal you could have saved is sentenced to death."

Looking for love?

It comes in many colors, shapes and sizes and is waiting for you at your local animal shelter.

Please consider adopting or fostering your next pet.

Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to. - Alfred A. Montapert -

A FERRET's Lil Prayer
by Pamela Troutman

Understand me and I will be your loving pet. I am not a rodent, but a carnivore. I am not a wild animal, but a companion to man, domesticated between the time of the dog and the cat.

Feed me as a cat, but only with dry food for clean teeth. Keep litter boxes handy, and I will learn to use them. Take me along as a dog, but with a leash or carrier so I do not get lost. Do not leave me outdoors, I have no wild survival instincts.

Confine or watch me like a small child, because I am curious and like to get into things. Discipline when needed with words and soft actions, because sudden force causes me to defend myself. I am a little thief, give me soft socks to steal and hide, instead of rubber toys to chew and swallow.

Let me visit the doctor as you would any family member, for a health check and vaccinations yearly. Have me spayed or neutered; I have no need to reproduce to add to the pet overpopulation.

Handle me daily, and I will be your loyal friend for many, many years. I am fearless and friendly. I have personality. I seek companionship. If you cannot give me that, then please pass me by.
